About ŠKODA

ŠKODA is one of the longest established vehicle manufacturing companies in the world. In 1895 Václav Klement and Václav Laurin, started manufacturing bicycles in Mladá Boleslav, in 1905 they began the production of their first car.

One of the most important milestones in the brand’s history dates back to 1991, when ŠKODA joined the Volkswagen Group. Since then ŠKODA has seen a five-fold increase in sales and has developed from being a one-product company to an international manufacturer of seven model ranges. Today ŠKODAs are available on over 100 markets across the world, and the company employs over 25,000 people.

Since 2010 the largest model campaign in ŠKODA’s corporate history has been underway. The first new models have successfully been launched on the markets. Throughout the next few years ŠKODA will be introducing a new model every six months on average, and by 2018 the manufacturer intends to deliver at least 1.5 million vehicles to customers every year.

With the Simply Clever philosophy, ŠKODA today represents a fresh approach to meeting the demands of an ever changing modern world. The latest technologies in a smart package, always offering that ‘little bit more car’, make ŠKODA the best choice for savvy, environmentally-conscious buyers.
