At Škoda, we pay maximum attention to individual needs of our customers. Not only on a level of specific car equipment on particular markets worldwide, but in some countries, we also manufacture special models tailored exactly to the needs of our local customers.
China
In 2007 Škoda, as part of the SAIC Volkswagen joint venture, started producing the Škoda Octavia locally in Ningbo. The second model to be built in Ningbo was the Karoq. The Kodiaq and its coupé GT variant are manufactured in Changsha. The Rapid and Rapid Spaceback roll of the line in Yizheng. The Superb, Kamiq and Kamiq GT are produced in Nanjing.
Škoda Octavia Pro
The Škoda Octavia Pro uses the emotive design language of the European model and features front and rear aprons in the style of the sporting Octavia RS. In addition to innovative driver assistance functions it comes with a latest-generation infotainment system. The interior features a prominent 12-inch central display.
Škoda Kamiq GT
The dynamic appearance of the Škoda Kamiq GT, its generous amount of space and practical features have all been tailored to suit lifestyle-oriented, young customers with a focus on the joy of driving, everyday practicality and an emotive design. Advanced connectivity solutions and a modern infotainment system are also part of the standard equipment. The Kamiq GT combines the powerful design language of the city SUV with the sporty elegance of a coupé, its lines are fresh and expressive.
Škoda Kodiaq GT
As the brand’s first SUV coupé and boasting a dynamic appearance, state-of-the-art connectivity features and innovative assistance systems, the Kodiaq GT is the brand’s flagship and iconic model. Featuring a sporty as well as stylish exterior and interior, the Škoda Kodiaq GT combines the versatility of an SUV with the elegance of a coupé, thereby appealing to lifestyle-oriented customers.
Škoda Rapid
The Rapid and the Rapid Spaceback in China have a youthful dynamic appearance, and the interior has been upgraded. A new infotainment system offers modern vehicle networking via the Škoda Banma Intelligent Interconnection System.
Other specific models in China
Kamiq - Karoq - Octavia
The Chinese version of the Škoda Kamiq is around 15 cm longer than the European city SUV. The Škoda Karoq in the Chinese market provides even more comfort as the vehicle itself and its wheelbase are both 50 mm longer than in Europe. Compared to the Octavia Pro, which is based on the fourth-generation European Octavia, the third generation, still available in China, is 88 millimetres shorter, so the various versions are sufficiently distinctive.
India
Škoda Auto has been responsible for pressing ahead with the India 2.0 project on behalf of Volkswagen Group since 2018. Škoda has set up a new MQB production line at its Pune plant. Most of the development is carried out at the new technology centre, which is also based there. Škoda Kushaq is made in Pune, while Škoda Superb in Aurangabad.
Škoda Slavia
The new elegant saloon features emotive design language, balanced proportions and coupé-style silhouette. The model’s name evokes the early days of the company and the first bicycles sold in Mladá Boleslav from 1896 by founding fathers Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. The coming new Škoda Slavia will once again set out to define a new era, this time on the Indian market.
Škoda Kushaq
Make way for the one true king. The Kushaq combines typical Škoda qualities with the preferences of Indian customers. The mid-size SUV impresses with striking design, plenty of space, a great deal of comfort and high levels of safety as well as efficient TSI engines and modern infotainment systems. “Kushak” means king or emperor in the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit.
