Information on Personal Data Processing

Purpose of the processing:
Operation of MyŠKODA Portal on the Internet

Description of the purpose of processing:
We will use your personal data to ensure the functionality of the MyŠKODA Portal on the Internet, including your registration and login. The MyŠKODA Portal provides access to data about your car, instructions and manuals, reports and utilities that make your life easier with a ŠKODA AUTO car.

When logging in to the application, a database is used for uniform login to the online ŠKODA AUTO environment, from which we obtain your unique ID number and other data, if you have already input them in the online ŠKODA AUTO environment.

Your personal data are processed at the MyŠKODA Portal, in order to provide you with the following information and services:

1. Service inspections and replacement parts 
   If, at the Internet portal, you input information about your car’s VIN code, the initial state of the tachometer when buying, the number of kilometers travelled, annual kilometers travelled and the selection of your preferred dealer, at the internet portal we can present a proposal for service inspections and likely replacement parts.
   
   
2. Ordering an inspection of your car 
   At the portal you have the option of adding your dealer and, at the same time, ordering a service inspection through the portal, using the data that we hold about you at the portal.
   
   
3. Presentation of offers
   As a part of communication with you, we can offer to arrange a service inspection and send our Cheque Book Full of Discounts for owners of cars over four years old. If you give consent for us to do so, we can contact you through the portal with offers of services, products and also with a proposal to take part in contests organised by ŠKODA AUTO.
   
   
4. Car manual
   Based on the VIN number of your car input, you can display the manual for your car that matches your model. 
   

Authorisation to process:
We are entitled to process by the contract that you concluded with us during registration at the Web portal.

Categories of the personal data we process:
Identifying data, contact data, technical product data, descriptive data, information about communication and interaction.

Processing period and archiving:
Until you delete your account or in the case of inactivity longer than 10 years, whichever occurs earlier.

Categories of data processors or recipients to whom we may provide the personal data: 
A member of the distribution network.
Your personal data may be provided on request to public authorities, in particular the courts, the Police of the Czech Republic and other institutions active in criminal proceedings, to the necessary extent and within the bounds of the law.

Source of the personal data:
We obtain the personal data directly from you.

Transfer of personal data to third countries or multinational companies:
This does not occur as part of this processing.

Automated decision-making on the basis of personal data:
This does not occur as part of this processing.

Other information:
The personal data may be subject to archiving in the public interest, and used for the purposes of scientific, historical or statistical research. In justified cases, personal data may be subject to processing in order to resolve legal matters, including the performance of duties towards public authorities, and monitoring and continuous evaluation of legal risks.
