Recuperation (or regenerative braking) recovers energy generated during braking and feeds it back into the battery – boosting efficiency and helping extend your range.
To make the most of it, gently press the brake pedal to engage recuperation first; regular brakes only kick in once regenerative braking is maxed out.
For best results, look ahead and maximize the use of the Coast function to avoid unnecessary braking – energy not used is better than energy recovered.
Eco Driving Assist can also help by automatically adjusting recuperation based on driving conditions and speed limits, so you can drive efficiently without overusing the brake pedal.
