Gaming
We are strengthening our presence in the digital racing world by introducing the Škoda Vision Gran Turismo, a spectacular all-electric concept car, into the Gran Turismo 7 PlayStation video game. The all-wheel-drive one-seater combines elements from the iconic 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider with Škoda’s contemporary Modern Solid design features.
The #VisionGranTurismoPremiere will be broadcast live from the PLAYzone Arena in Prague on 24 April at 18:00 CEST.
The Škoda Vision GT study was designed primarily for the gaming and digital world of the future. A physical model was created using 3D printing. But our heritage and the skilled craftsmanship of the Škoda Design department was also important.

WEB1 with predominantly static web pages was followed by the current WEB2 marked by high interactivity, enabling users to create content in social media, blogs, podcasts and messaging apps, for example.
The developing WEB3 is expected to be more decentralised as well as more secure by virtue of being based on blockchain technology, which provides a distinctive proof of ownership and for the first time enables digital assets to truly become someone’s personal property. Users will be less dependent on social media platforms and websites that own and market user data and content.
The Metaverse is an important part of WEB3 and intended to act as a bridge between physical and digital identities, characteristics and spaces, an internet of places and properties. In the Metaverse, users can meet, interact directly with each other or work together as avatars – three-dimensional virtual “representations” of themselves. It will be possible to move from one place to another in the Metaverse in the blink of an eye.
People can acquire digital items such as art, music, wearables or even land in the Metaverse in the form of NFTs. NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are unique, digital objects that exist on the blockchain.
Blockchain is a database system that maintains and records data in a secure and immutable way.
