Important data in one place
Thanks to MyŠkoda Essentials you will always know how far you can go with your current fuel tank level. You can also easily check and display driving statistics such as current fuel consumption, distance covered, or trip length. Route planning feature and finding of parking spaces in your area will be make your each next trip a pleasure. And if you will forget where you parked there is always Parking location feature to help you. With Garage feature you will have all your Škoda cars neatly in one place and for each car you can easily access Digital manual for given model.
Remote control over your car
Various Škoda Connect packages allow you to control your car remotely. You can easily lock&unlock your vehicle or control your auxiliary heater, ventilation and air condition. Thanks to blink and honk feature you will never have to search for your car in a crowded parking lot.
Special features for electric vehicles
With MyŠkoda Essentials you can immediately check the battery charge status, and you can even remotely control the charging and climate control features, including setting up the charging limit or setting up departure timers for AC.
Service and maintenance features
You can display all the relevant messages for service or regular maintenance and also low oil or wiper fluid level notifications. However, you are also able to monitor overall health status of different components in you car such as engine, brakes, lights and many more. And if your vehicle’s system announces any defect, in MyŠkoda Essentials you can always learn more details. In the app you can also quickly find the contact info for your service partner along with their opening hours, so the next service booking will be a walk in the park.

Great idea, poor reliability
General idea of the connectivity with the car is awesome, however the app quality is poor, reliability low, full od bugs. I’ve been forced to reinstall three times already, now I’m stuck again on the start screen. It gets very annoying to reinstall the app when one needs to connect to the car… please improve it!

It should much better
Well, let's be honest. I'm not impressed. Let's start with the positives:
Yes, the app allows you to monitor your car remotely. Yes, you can see your parking location, mileage and some very basic data.
Negatives.
- The app starts very slowly (my iPhone13Pro is probably not a bottleneck, I think).
- The functionality is limited to few basic tasks so far.
- I have no idea why the app does not show for how many km the Addblue tank will last. In the car I can see it on the main screen, but not in the app.
- It is really strange that you can connect the app to the car by yourself with 2 keys. However, to set unlocking the car from the app, you have to visit the service.
- The lock status displayed is not reliable. I locked the car and then opened it again as I forgot my bag inside. So I just unlocked, opened the door, closed the door and locked. And in the evening the app said the car was unlocked. I went to check and it was locked. Strange.
- The comminication provided by Skoda is very limited. No information about current map and software versions and planned updates. No interest to get feedback or proposals for improvement.

Offline abroad Kodiaq
Always when I park abroad it turns offline after approx. one week. I’m still moving within EU only. Something to do with energy savings mode?
The status locked/unlocked is totally unreliable. But I see dozens of such feedbacks here, so no reason to repeat it.
If you combine the above two errors = car parked at the parking lot,indicating it is open and subsequently it gets offline, then it only scares you it has been stolen. In reality the car is there and locked.
So better not to use the app.
But it has some very useful features, so please fix it.
