Your safety and that of your family always comes first. Seven airbags work in tandem with the seat belts to protect all occupants. Isofix and Top Tether anchor points provide secure mounting for child seat and infant carriers. If an accident is unavoidable, Crew Protect Assist prepares the vehicle for impact by closing the front windows and activating belt pretensioning. ESC, ABS, and a range of other systems also keep an eye on the car while it is on the go.

With bidirectional charging (V2L and V2H), the Škoda Epiq can do more than just draw energy – it can share it. The vehicle’s high-voltage battery can supply power to external devices, turning your car into a practical mobile energy source whenever you need it. Whether it’s charging an e-bike, powering camping equipment or supporting everyday outdoor activities, the Epiq gives you the flexibility to take electricity beyond the road, while Vehicle-to-Home functionality also enables the car to feed electricity back to a compatible home energy system when needed.

As is the custom with other Škoda models, the Epiq is available with Driving Mode Select. The driver can use it to control the vehicle’s response to the accelerator, the available torque, the top speed, the effect of the power steering, and the intensity of the air-conditioning.

The Škoda Epiq features efficient LED lights front and back. The main advantage of LED Matrix beam headlights is their Matrix function, which, by lighting up and extinguishing the individual LED sources in sequence, prevents other road users from being dazzled. This means you can keep the powerful full beam on all the time on your travels so that you have a perfect insight into what is happening around you. One great feature is the all-weather lighting function, which replaces conventional fog lights. This lighting mode is designed to improve the illumination of the road surface when visibility is poor.

The LED Matrix beam headlights are complemented by the very best LED rear lights, incorporating diodes for every function.

Regenerative braking is a process where the vehicle’s kinetic energy is converted into electricity, which is then stored in a high-voltage battery. Cars with internal combustion engines convert kinetic energy from the friction between brake pads and brake discs into heat, which is not used in any way and is dissipated into the air. Regenerative braking therefore makes efficient use of energy and helps to increase the range of the Epiq by partially recharging the battery while the car is in motion.

Make every journey smoother with the new One-pedal driving function. In B mode, the car can slow all the way to a standstill, making urban driving easier and helping to recover energy more efficiently. The level of deceleration can be adjusted in the infotainment menu or using the paddles, and the selected setting is remembered for the next drive.

Inching forward as you pass pedestrians and cyclists can be challenging. The Škoda Epiq’s job is to make this easier for you. Front Assist with Predictive Pedestrian and Cyclist Protection can alert you or even stop the car if a collision with another vehicle or a person is imminent. Side Assist detects vehicles approaching from behind or in the car’s blind spot up to 70 m away, making it especially effective at warning the driver of hazardous situations on multi-lane roads and motorways.

When you buy the Epiq, all your parking worries are over. Rear Traffic Alert will help you exit a line of cars by detecting approaching traffic and alerting you in good time. A useful component of Intelligent Park Assist is Remote Parking which can automatically park in and exit from a line of parallel-parked or perpendicular-parked vehicles while you stand outside the car and control it remotely via the MyŠkoda app. Another great function is Trained Parking, which is used for the automatic completion of a parking manoeuvre in a parking spot that is in a familiar environment, e.g. at home.

When you’re on the motorway, systems are ready to help by taking over some of the driving for you. Travel Assist integrates several systems and functions to make driving a lot easier and increase travelling comfort. Once activated, Travel Assist can automatically stop and restart, keep the car in lane, follow other vehicles in heavy traffic, or show surrounding vehicles on a display in front of you.

Traffic Sign Recognition shows traffic signs on the car’s display so you can keep track of the situation on the road. In the event of an accident, Multi-Collision Brake prevents further uncontrolled vehicle movement by braking, thus reducing the risk of multiple collisions.
