The Favorit Forman version was assembled in the Vrchlabí plant from the end of 1990 (also in the so-called special models from 1992). The utility pick-up was manufactured from October 1991 in Kvasiny.
In April 1991 Škoda became a part of the German Volkswagen concern. The Škoda Felicia became the first joint project, and was launched in 1994.
Apart from Škoda motors with an output of 40 and 50 kW, Volkswagen concern units were also installed in the Felicia; a petrol 1.6 MPI/55 kW and a diesel 1.9 D/47 kW.
A Felicia with an estate wagon body was presented in Brno in summer 1995; in August of the same year the production of the utility version, the Felicia pick-up and other modifications (Van, Van-Plus), was commenced.
