A completely new Škoda model range was introduced at the Prague auto salon in 1929. The 860 model also belonged in this range.

The basic parameters were “coded” into its model identification, this being 8 cylinders and 60 horsepower! This model also aroused the greatest interest from professionals and the public.

However until 1933 only 49 examples of this luxury four-litre eight-cylinder engine model were sold. Most certainly also thanks to the fairly high purchase price for that period of 127 000 CZK for a limousine and as much as 140 000 Crowns for a cabriolet.
