Excelsior P4
1920 - 1925
Technology for agriculturalists

The new technology also made its way into agriculture. Motorised ploughs were a successful product of the joint enterprise of Laurin & Klement and the Roudnice company of Rudolf Bächer.

The bulky P4 six-blade plough with a four-cylinder 80 hp engine was very successful and 51 ploughs were manufactured until the beginning of the First World War.

Excelsior ploughs (now without cooperation with the Bächer company) were successful even after the War. They were exported, now also as a smaller model than the P4, not only to Russia, but also to France, Spain and even to South America. Austrian Puch and the local branch of Fiat actually purchased the license for their manufacture.
