L&K type Mk

L&K type M – for luxury and utility

L&K M range model automobiles were classed among the luxury vehicles. These were powered by a four-cylinder with a cubic capacity of 4713 cc and 50 horsepower. The Knight slide four-cylinder with a cubic capacity of 3308 cc was installed in the same frame in a smaller series.

Some of the innovations of the time were for example dynamo lights, electrical starters or (at the customer’s wishes) steel wheel discs.

Heavy utility automobiles from the MS range (manufactured during the First World War) had modified engines from 1920 of a higher cubic capacity (nearly six litres) and could carry up to 3 tons of cargo.

Personal and freight superstructures were built onto the chassis, creating buses, military vehicles, mail vehicles etc.
