The first automobile by Laurin & Klement, the Voiturette A model, with a liquid cooled vee-twin-cylinder engine with a cubic capacity of 1005 cc and 7 horsepower, was born in 1905 and immediately became a sales success. The B type followed (unbelievably for that time 250 examples were manufactured of this model within three years), model C had an engine cubic capacity of 2042 cc and 12 horsepower.
The first four-cylinder engines were created in 1906; only four items of type D were manufactured, but the four and a half litre E four-cylinder was supplied in both personal and utility versions in subsequent years.
Thanks to the craft and know-how of employees of all professions, the company soon created a stable position on the developing international market.
