ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and the whole ŠKODA AUTO Group gives special considerations to its responsibility to comply with legal standards, internal regulations, ethical principles and voluntary commitments. Our scope of compliance is set not only to the area of business relations, but to all activities both within and outside the group. The ŠKODA AUTO Group strongly emphasizes the application of and the compliance with all ethical and legal standards in the areas of competition, finance, tax, environmental and employee protection and equality.

In order to safeguard the adherence to the above mentioned standards by providing consulting services and to raise the awareness among employees through suitable preventive measures the Governance, Risk & Compliance department at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. has been established.

It is the conviction of the ŠKODA AUTO Group that sustainable economic success can only be ensured by following rules and standards. For us, statutory and internal requirements, obligations undertaken and ethical principles accepted voluntarily form an integral part of our corporate structure and are the guiding principle on which we base our decisions. Our compliance activities are part of an integrated strategy aligned with the Volkswagen Group and implemented in its worldwide compliance network. 
 

Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct summarizes essential principles of ŠKODA employees‘ conduct and serves as a handbook for managing legal and ethical issues. “Code of Conduct at ŠKODA Group - Member of the Volkswagen Group” was published in 2012.

Goodwill of ŠKODA AUTO Group is an essential asset which depends on determination of all employees around the world. Employees act in conformity with Code of Conduct and legal standards. Code of Conduct became an integral part of company culture. ŠKODA AUTO Group motivates its business partners to comply with those principles.

Ombudsman System

ŠKODA AUTO Group as integrated part of Volkswagen Group is applying so called Ombudsman System. Any employee as well as business partner, dealer, or supplier and other third party in relation with ŠKODA AUTO a.s. may contact one of two independent ombudsmen in case of revealing any sign of corruption.

The aim of the system - the prevention of corrupt behaviour within the company - helps to disclose and solve the cases of corrupt behaviour. The ombudsman is subject to the duty of confidentiality and that is why he submits the notice on corruption in absolute anonymity.
