Škoda Superb
Safety
Emphasis on and care for the safety of the crew is always first with us. The flagship of the Škoda brand must not be an exception and sets the example for many competitor vehicles in terms of active and passive safety elements.

The basic variant of the Classic version is already equipped with  and  in front. Each Superb vehicle is equipped with in rear and to ensure optimum protection in the area of the cervical spine.

We also think about the children. For safe travel of children, the vehicle is equipped with systemfor fixture of child safety seats. The fixture points for child seat are firm parts of the body and are at the same time properly hidden in the seat upholstery. You can rely on ISOFIX; it is currently considered the safest in its branch.

The basis of safety is, however, mainly the extraordinarily firm body with adequate deformation zones, triple braces in the doors and thresholds, and a modern advanced chassis, which guarantees excellent riding characteristics. Efficient disc brakes on all wheels take care of safe braking of the vehicle. The drive train is installed in such a way that it is pushed downwards in case of gross deformation and thus prevent its penetration into the interior of the vehicle.

The essential electronic systems substantially contribute to ensuring safe and comfortable travel in all conditions. All the basic variants of the vehicles have ABS and EDS; some of the engines in addition have ASR and MSR. ESP is an option (standard for the V6 2.8 and 2.5TDI engine versions), which contains other riding stability systems.

ESP
The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) increases the stability of the vehicle; ESP will manage understeer by reducing the braking pressure on the front axle and the automobile thus remains on track. In the case of oversteer, it reduces the braking pressure on the wheels on the inside of the bend and the vehicle regains stability and remains on track.
Head airbags
The large-capacity driver’s and front passenger’s airbags are activated upon head-on impact. They substantially reduce the risk of serious injury to the head and the upper parts of the body.
